Ken, maybe I missed it but why didn't you consider the Tacoma. The new ones will two 6500lbs. and its built on a truck frame.

You know , Im not totally sure.

But the re sale on a used lo mile taco is still pretty high.
I also heard that the handling was not so good.

It also did not seem like a lot of lo mile taco's that were totally loaded, (leather , nav . ect)

After owning 1 Dodge (lesson learned) 3 Chebies(last one had 275,000 on the ORIGINAL engine) and 1 Ford...I bought a Nissan Titan for the last truck. It had only one major issue while I owned it (the rear spring shackle blew and almost came throught he bed). The bottom line was at 60,000 miles , out of warrenty, Nissan stepped up to plate and covered the cost after I complained, which impresed the crap out of me. I would buy another Titan in a heartbeat.

My problem with the Frontier is that it gets about the same gas mileage as the Titan, and I think you have to use super in it also. Why not just enjoy the benifit of a fullsize if your going to pay the same for fuel. I used mine for a commuter vehicle running about 24,000 a year..and ran the living dogsh*t out of it.

I'm not saying the others are bad, my chevy was a K3500 duelie that got utility cap and 1000# of tools that got 15-18 mpg ALL DAY long on that 5.7. My F-350 4WD Lariet duelie with the V-10 was beyond fun and aweful nice ..but my first months fuel bill when I got the job at the college was 700$ ..so it had to go.

My Nissan was built here in the U.S.

X2 Pic of the rack system. Thanks

Why do you hate American vehicles? :D

Seriously how about a Dodge Cummins, Chevy Duramax, or something like a crew cab chevy 2500 HD with a crisp gaser?

I with dave. My cummings get's 20.5 mpg and when towing a frontier a tundra and a ridgeline I coould expect to get 13mpg 250,000.00 on the clock now 6500hrs nothing more that oil diesel and brakes cost wise:grinpimp:
