I'm thinking the end of April or beginning of May. Maybe camp at Yarborough pass on the bay side (less wind). We can setup the EazyUp and relax while fishing and catching soft shell crabs....(which we aren't throwing back this time, Kelly :)), and baja style it down to Big Shell.

Anyone up for this?

Count me in. I love that area. Late April would be perfect.

Yeah, I guess May 7th-9th probably isn't a good weekend. We have Macey every other weekend so scheduling is tough for us too.

Maybe I'll post a poll ;). I'm not sure if anyone else is even interested.

That's cool, but I'm still going in late April, early May. It's prime soft-shell crabbing season! :)

Soft shell crabs, really? Where do you fish for them? Those little fudgers are tasty!!

Its late notice but I and the wifey will be traveling to pins for the weekend along with some other 4x4's. If anybody wants to join or meet we will be leaving friday afternoon and staying on the beach, not sure where though.

Jenn, is it too early to crab?

There's a lot of people heading down to the end of the island for the Black Drum run. It's a great time to go but I can't make it this weekend due to other obligations. We'll be heading down next week for spring break.

I think you can crab pretty much all year long, however softshell crabs are found in abundance late April through June.
