After seeing the pictures of Deer Trail on the post by Chicago I went there today and it was great. I attached just a couple pictures because I was to busy enjoying the scenary and driving the trail. Saw only one other vehicle and a side-by-side. I think it was a Razor. The poor guys said they winched a couple times and tore up their Razor real bad. Then they said they were thinking about driving it on the highway so they didn't have to do the return trip. After some discussion they chose to do the take the trail back to Blue Lakes. Hope they made it, but they did have supplies and had told someone to come and get them if they weren't home on Friday.

Nice day for you Mark!
I love that little trail. Beautiful, relatively close (at least for me), relaxing and challenging all at the same time.

The south trail head is near Ebbetts Pass (google it) inside the Hermit valley camp ground. The north trail head is near Hope Valley. We usually run the trail S to N which is a bit mor difficult but forces all the trucks in the group to clear the "gate keeper" in Hermit Valley campground first rather than last.

Man oh man that 40 is lookin' tough as hell!!! Can't wait to see the half doors on it!!!!

Theyre in progress...
