Hey All,
Georg at Valley Hybrids (@orangefj45) has an amazing series of videos on YouTube showing him rebuilding and modifying a transfer case out of an 80 Series. He uses a series of pieces of metal tubing to help with the job. The series is on the YouTube channel of a recently retired firefighter named Timmy (thanks for your service, and congrats on your retirement, Timmy. Timmy The Toolman - https://www.youtube.com/@TimmyTheToolman)
Anyone have a list of those I can take with me to the local metal shop in prep for my T-case rebuild?
It seems having those pieces of tubing is going to make the job a whole heck of a lot easier.
Thanks.

Bump.
Any ideas, guys?

Thanks for the honersbor mention. Timmy & I put a lot of time and effort into those videos.
What exactly are you doing to transfer case and why. Are you rebuilding it? Changing the gears? Have your sourced your parts?

Hi Georg,
Thanks for your message. I don't have the parts yet, and it's the Sump high range 10% under drive and the low range regear to 3.1 (I believe) that I was going to order. Other than the gears themselves, I was just planning to buy some FIPG, the seals for the input and output shafts, and the two seals for the speedo cable unit. Oh, and there is a rectangular gasket of some sort needed - I'm not sure where that goes. I'm all ears if you think there's something else I'll need. I wasn't planning to replace the bearings unless upon inspection I find that they're boogered.
Thanks,
Russ

I'm going to DM you, Georg. Thank you.
