When I am accelerating from a stop and let off the gas, sometimes there is a light tranny thump/chunk.
I think its when going from 1st to 2nd.
When I start to accelerate and let off the gas right when the tranny shift into 2nd, it makes a chunk/clunk going into 1st.
At no other time will it make that or any other noise.
I have messed with the cable with no change. For some reason the pic of the cable adjustment in the FSM is not the setup I have. I have talked about this in the past.
The cable is not a replacment cable.

Is there a post about what the symtoms are when the cable is adjusted too long and too short?
If not,
what happens when the cable is too long?
" " short?

Kurt,
Sorry dude, want to bounce this up to the top for you, but I don't really have any other ideas other than the standard clunk everyone talks about.

It also sometimes makes the chunk when driving slow and letting off the gas in 2nd gear. This is when it in "D". I need to shift into 2nd and see if it does it.

Mine ('93) does the same exact thing. I always thought it was just a normal LC quirk, falls under the "character" heading. ;)
