Trails near 'Vegas

I'm not a So. Nevada member but will be there next month for a weekend. I have been unable to find a good, comprehensive source of information on trails -- maps, descriptions, etc. anyone?

I just moved back to Las Vegas and have not had a chance to take the 100 off road yet. Are there any good off road spots close to north las vegas?
