Planning a trip in the Dodge Ridge, Stanislaus forest area. Any hints on trails in the area? Anything Cool? I plan to be there the weekend of the 15th. Please let me know what you know or if you want to tag along. We plan to do mellow wheeling. Most of the people are driving stock 4WD.

Niagra Rim trail off hwy 108

Slickrock off hwy 4

Deer Valley from 4 to 88 (the 4 side isn't suited for stock rigs)

Not sure I'd take a stock rig on niagra either, as far as Slickrock never been so can't tell you.

There are hundreds of fireroads you could explore..

that's all

Nigara Rim area is beautiful and offers a good mix of mellow trails and some "rock garden" type obstacles. I'm not sure what any of the water crossings are like right now but I think you'll be fine (I've seen your rig). Stop at the Forest Service on the way up and get an OHV map to help put these places in perspectives. Basically head toward Sonora pass through the snow closure gate and Niagara rim OHV is on the right. Pacific Rim trail in the park is fun and a good challenge. Feel free to contact me if you have questions, or get stuck!!!

Boards crossing is short and sweet.
1or 2 challenging spots for stock.
