My husband installed a Curt Manufacturing tow hitch and wiring harness a few weeks ago. Everything went in according to instructions. Brake lights work. Left turn works. But when we switch on the right turn signal, there is a little bit of electrical back feed into the left turn signal, so they both blink, but the left is very dim. He has tried grounding the harness to the frame in three different places. Still happening. It seems a little strange because it's a plug and play wiring harness. Any ideas? This is on our 2010 FJ.

Thanks!

when you trun on the hazerd do both work normal? does it slice in to your wireing or plug in one?

You must have some sort of short between those two wires. I'd disconnect everything (at the plugs), clean the contacts and re-plug them. Before I plugged it back, I'd verify normal functioning of all the lights.

Good luck and hope its something simple...

Do check every thing.
I've heard of this before but never heard the remedy to the fix.

I decided when I got a trailer to pull behind my FJ I'd have the dealer do it. For $125.00 I have a perfectly functioning harness with no issues. It only took them 45 minutes.

If you find the fix please post it.
So others may learn..

Cheers
