We have a Hi-Lo travel trailer. This is our first winter storing it in South Lake Tahoe. I've been looking at various covers online and can't decided which would work best.
The trailer is about 21' long by 8' wide and will be stored outdoors on our property.
Also, what do we have to do to get it ready? I assume drain all the water & waste tanks. Anything else?
Any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks

Look on some of the RV forums. When there is a potential for freezing you want to pay attention to the water system(s), but I don't know enough about it to offer any advice.

I live in Reno, I WOULD NOT drain the water system. Instead set up a three way valve* so you can switch the water pump from the main tank to a hose and use the pump to fill the system with RV antifreeze. Shut off the water heater supply valve first and drain the tank. This is a good time to inspect the heater anode and replace if required. To flush the system connect a gallon of AF to the pump, start with the tap furthest from the pump and run it until the color indicates you are pumping AF. It helps to have some watch the AF jug so you can swap before it is empty. Don't forget to flush the toilet until you see AF. Drain the fresh, black and gray water tanks. Fill the P traps on the sinks and tub as well as the toilet with RV anti freeze. This is better because you will never get all the water out by draining it. It takes very little water to cause freeze damage in the system.

*Check with one of the RV places, I think you can get a kit that has all the parts to modify your water system for a fast RV antifreeze flush. There are a couple of places in Carson City that would probably do the work for you.

Get a couple of extra gallons of RV antifreeze. In cold weather you can use 5 gallon camp jugs for fresh water in the RV and just freshen up the antifreeze in the drains after a trip. This extends the season quite a bit. I learned the hard way not to risk camping in the fall with water in the system. We got caught camping in Hope Valley when there was an unexpected cold snap on Nevada day one year. I had a ton of repairs to do afterward.
