I also posted on Expo, but here is my latest find,
I picked this trailer up today off of CG, the PO had it for 10 years, and took pretty good care of it. Trying to decide which way to take it since it really won't be off road much.

He had a canvas top that the owner before him had, and it is in pretty good shape with one hole to patch.

I'm thinking of taking the wheels off my other trailer before selling.

I like it Dr....I think it's a Sears Bradley. Whats the plan?

It will mainly be used around the house. I think I will get rid of the plywood side, and maybe make rack sides, and bows to support the tarp. I think I will wire brush it down and repaint, not sure what color. I like the brown defener90 did his. I will probably roll bedliner on the inside.

I got a David Bradley trailer myself. Got from a feller in Coliumbia, TN. Got it blasted and painted...more in it now then I could get out of it....

graysp, do you have pics? I got mine in Columbia as well. I saw one last year for sale down there, but it was gone before I could take a look.

I do have pics, but I'm having technicial (operator) difficultes. My pic are to big in size to post....I can e-mail then, though..

I'm thinking of making the trailer where it can tilt like Plowboy, can anyone think of a reason against this? Also, talking to Plowboy he used 3 large hinges from the tongue to the trailer, I was thinking of possible welding on 3 leaf spring hangers, then 3 round eyes on the tongue portion and attaching that way, how does it sound? Or is 1 enough? The tongue is currently just bolted at the front and 1 bolt in the middle of the trailer frame.

here is the latest progress of the new fenders mounted, and new wheels mocled up.

Not a damn thing the matter with that...do the wheels match the tow vehicle?

Yes, they match my 4runner, just have to decide to get adapters or new axle.

The fenders are from a M416, I found a guy that had new old stock, meaning they had never been mounted, and $100 for the pair, I thought was reasonable since it would cost atleast $75 for standard off the shelf fenders.

So a quick question for all you experts, if you look at the picture above the fender hangs down about 1" below the trailer frame, should I trim them up even, or leave as is? I am kinda hesitant to cut them since they are M416 fenders and may be worth more to someone else one day if uncut.

The Military restoration guys are crying :crybaby:

Nice find on the trailer and fenders. It is all coming together nicely.

The guy I bought them from was hesitant to sell them to me since they were not going on a 416.
