Since the better half and I are not spring pups anymore, can you say social security, we are thinking about buying an expo type trailer for our travels. Over the past years we have used our LC to haul everything and mount our RTT but we have a new arrival to our family as in 4 legged and another 55lbs. We would not be doing anything other than some fire trails but mainly be putting on a lot of highway miles. We're not interested in adding drawers or kitchen gear, just mainly a watertight storage area and an RTT mount. We really like the small expo type trailers and thought that we should purchase an aluminum one. We live on an island by the shore and anything steel is just asking for trouble. Plus it would have to live outdoors under a shed probably. We liked the VMI trailers online, but cringing at what it might cost to get one to the east coast. Thought I'd throw this out to you all and any suggestions our ideas would be appreciated......thanks a bunch

XVENTURE trailers are aluminum I think. They are $$$ though. I don't have any experience with them other than seeing one in person. I didn't look close though because they were out of my budget.

I bought a Morris mule which I put a RTT on. It works great and can haul everything you'll need for a cross country treck.

Here is a picture with tent on both the trailer and LC.

Thanks for all your responses, there is a lot of nice rigs out there to contemplate on. I've checked out a lot on line but before I drop a bunch bananas I really would like to actually see some. There are a couple I see in my price range so we will probably start a road trip this summer and plan around something we can look at. We're thinking now that the amount of miles we will travel it would be nice if we could keep it all on and in the LC. I removed the 2nd row seats today to see what extra room that would give us, definitely appears more room. RTT back on the roof so that leaves no space up there. I carry an awning, maybe I'll splurge for a mounted.
