OK, I'm looking for input on my snowmobile trailer. Knowing that it's pretty light duty, we put our two snowmobiles on it OR 2 ATVs and go-cart. The thing about it is that the axle appears to be bowed groundward, which slopes the tires inboard at the tops and causes extremely fast wear.

I'd like to upgrade to a stronger axle on leaf springs that can handle full size tires and eliminate this issue completely. Anyone know of a supplier for this conversion or would you just hit the junkyard, pick up some springs and hang a solid axle under there?

glad to help.

Check 6 Roblees in Spokane. They're on Fancher, north of Broadway.

Just another choice, but I have had great contact with the guys over at

www.abctrailerparts.com

They will custom make an axle for no extra charge.

I had that problem on my trailer. I ended up cutting the spindles off and getting a bigger sized tube that would just slip over the stubs of the old one.

It wouldn't help you fit bigger tires, but it is cheap and gets you a stronger axle...
