Hi all, Mass guy here. I did a search but didn't really find what I was looking for. I was wondering what trails you guys like to visit in locally in MA. I'm on the south coast and the only spot I know of is Freetown Forrest to take my truck. I know you can drive on the beach in some spots on the cape if you get registered but I'm just looking for spots to take mini road trips and stretch the 4x4's legs.
Don't think you'll get many answers here.

Most of the guys here believe in organized wheeling in order to protect the trails we have.
I see you're in the south coast as am I and there's nothing here.
We have runs almost monthly with all different difficulty levels.
I'm not a member, sorry I guess I was treating this as more of a public area for local toyota 4x4ers than a club forum. I apologize for that. Sucks to hear there isn't anything in the area
Honestly, people are pretty protective of any trails they do know about, as they don't want it found out and "ruined." That's not just MA, but all over, although I hear that in the Northeast we are worse, because the resources are more precious. MA seems to have very little overall, unless you know someone with private land. NH and VT both have many more unmaintained roads, and then there is the North Maine Woods (which sometimes has it's own issues). I have actually heard that Freetown SF is illegal for wheeling, so i would check that (I know people go regularly, though). Many people seem to have good luck with good maps, such as the Delorme, and just searching on their own, but again, that is dicey in MA because it's almost always private land (including powerlines etc.)
