Trail advice, part II: Mammoth Lakes

Since I got such great advice on trails around Palm Springs (JTNP), let's play round 2.

After Palm Springs we are driving up to Mammoth Lakes to spend the weekend with some friends.

What trails should I check out in/around Mammoth Lakes?

I'm stock so anything really gnarly (big rocks) is out-- though having said that, until I lift it, I'm all about finding the limits of a stock 100.

Do some research on Laurel Lakes, just outside of Mammoth. You should be able to find several trip reports with pictures. You can also get some info here. Laurel Lakes

Feel free to give me a call. I grew up in Crawley Lake lived there the first 34 years of my life. It's hard to explain on forum. There are too many roads/trails.
