Guys I need comments Good Bad and Ugly:

How did you think the event turned out?

Were you sent through check in fast enough?

Trail conditions?

etc etc etc.......

I want thias event to be alot better next year and it can only happen with your input

Josh

I really enjoyed the ride. Everything seemed well organized. Trails were marked very well. Scenary was awesome. I may have missed getting one but trail maps would be helpful. Thanks Josh for all your work there and for the hospitality the night before. A good time was had by all.

The list so far is:

Porta Johns at both entrances

Trail maps

Better trail signage

Widen out some of the easier trails(and make more easy trails)

Please guys keep it coming if you have anything to add good or bad

Josh,
I really enjoyed the trail ride, the check in was fine. I had a short wait but nothing too long. I also agree that a detailed trail map would be a great help, maybe even with some GPS points scatered here and there on the map. I also agree that some trails that are more wagon and full size friendly would be another nice touch, even better if these were specialy marked on the map.

There were about twenty people from work there also, all on 4-wheelers. All that I have talked to really liked the event and were hopeing for more through out the year.

Thanks again and let me know if you all can use some more help.

Josh,
I really liked Interlake. The variety of terrain was similar to Badlands, 3 to 4 different types. The wide open peaky area were you dip down and then climb a hill was great.
The mud and rock trails were also great and well marked. Some areas had tight fits for the wagons but nobody got dents from it.

The check in for Interlake was good. I'm unclear on the regular cost to enter the park? Is it $15, $20, etc.

The ATV riders were is the same DIFFICULT areas as we were. Is there any considerations for segrated areas or will the park be open to all forms of riding?

I noticed a creek, more like a river, as we passed the wide open area. Are there any plans for a creek x'ing or creek run?

I really enjoyed my experience down at Interlake and hats off to you and your team.  Tell your wife thanks also.:D

There realy isnt a set price for admission to the park. Interlake is still in the planning and build stage. Its not even really a park yet.

As far as creek riding I dont see that happening at a state owned property. They are very consious of where there water runoff and silt problems are.

Cool place!

Josh,
I really liked the park, and it has HUGE potential. On the way out we crossed through the open field through an access trail and found a really cool valley by the river.

I rhought the trails were marked as well as any other ORV, but I do think a map would be ideal due to the size of the place. It looks really easy to get turned around and lost.

What was the final turnout?

Clint

The water that you are refering to is the old pit from the mine. The cliffs are the highwall where they stopped digging and left a large hole in the ground. Over the years this fills with water, they are every where down in this part of the state. Good fishing and swimming but usually very deep.

Also we are going to work on a map alot this summer so hopefully we will be better prepared for next year's Toys for Tots event.

Also if you guys want wagon trails it would be helpfull to have wagons to make them with this summer.
