Hallo all
I'm Robert and I have a big problem: I own a big rig (H1 Hummer), and I want to change it for a FJ Cruiser. The problem is that I don't know how the machine works, I don't like to have a V6 engine under my ass, but I like how it looks.
Someone knows if there are any FJ's available with V8 engines?
Apart of the fuel consumption and the steering, which is far from being precise, I have only good words for the H1. However, when driving long distances on the road, the car is not the best...
Any advices?

the FJCruiser is only available with the V6, in any market. a V8 conversion is likely doable, but it's too new presently for anyone to have tackled it.

The H1 is a kewl rig, but VERY large relative to the FJC....I suspect you'd be impressed with the abilities of the FJC on and offroad, and the smaller size/weight and added maneuverability will be a significant asset too.

the biggest downfall of the H1, IMO, it's it's pure size...just too much rig for most of the trails I would run.

welcome :D

Buy an older, better real landcruiser and save the money for the wife and kids. If you don't have them the money will help :D
good luck.

ditto woody- there were some FJC's w/ the iForce V8's at some show (maybe sema or some offroad expo). That is not a difficult swap b/c the 4Runner comes w/ those 2 engine options.

The V6 has similar torque/hp ratings to the Toyota iForce V8. Not as good, nor is the torque peak as low in the rpms but is not far off.
I guarantee it will be alot faster in all circumstances than the H1, and pull great offroad as well.

also check the FAQ at the top of this forum for more info about the FJC

welcome

the fjc v6 is dam powerfull it does not need a v8 unless your towing a huge trailer behind you and we all know that it is now a tow rig, with that said you should be very happy with the v6

Ditto Corey

The FJ is wicked quick.
It drives/handles as if it were the sport performance version of the SUV; but they are all that way.
I have a TRD SE and the ride is alittle more compliant than the standard version and that makes it drive out better for me - but they are all very quick.
You could get the TRD supercharger kit if you wanted more, but I do not see the need.
I love this truck!!...............gm
