I read in the article that SoCalTLCA liked to run the Dusy-Ershim. When are we going back? We should ask Rich to be our trail leader.
Remember Dat, that was when almost everyone drove built 40’s! I did it with the club 10 years ago and was the only wagon. At the time, I had a J-spring (4.5”) lift & 35” MT’s. Tight squeeze in my truck! Fortunately, I had the best spotters in the club (Chris, Rich, & Robert) to guide me. I’ll show you the photos.

I’d bet your rig is better equipped today with the lower gearing. Any thought on running it?
Come to think of it, we’ll be in the area for this month’s run. If I make it through the Rubithon and to the club run, can you show me the trailhead? I’d like to see it at least.

In some ways, I'm much better equipped. However, my lift is about 1.5" lower. On a trail like this, that "little bit" could make a huge difference. I read somewhere recently that folks are saying it's now a tougher trail to run than the Rubicon. Honestly, that scares me... So, would I run it again? Yeah, I think so, but only with spotters in whom I had a lot of confidence.

We'll be less than an hour from the trailhead, and the first part of the trail (to Voyager Rock, a.k.a. "Chicken Rock") is rated "3" on TrailsOffRoad. I'd love to take a look at it if we have time.
