Does anybody have any suggestions? I am afraid that my '10 FJ 6MT has the dreaded throw out bearing squeak again. Ressler already "fixed" it. Less then 6K miles ago. It looks like the general conclusion on the internet is that the fix is just temporary to get you past your warranty. I am hoping a local shop might be able to actually fix it. I am overly paranoid about this, as i would rather not replace the trans if it grenades. Or that the local shop could tell me that I don't need to worry. Its not as bad as when it was replaced the first time, I just don't trust ANYTHING ANYONE at Ressler tells me. I am still under warranty, but I am getting close to the end, and i am not sure if they would cover replacement again.

Take it back and insist on Andrew Morrison be your technician. Use Joe for your service advisor. If you have continued issues talk to Jill, the service manager. This should not be bad in 6k miles.

Your right it shouldn't go bad this soon. They will replace is under warranty, but aftermarket solutions exist that may actually fix the problem. This is a known issue with the 6mt. Even the tech I spoke with told me that the Toyota parts don't actually fix the problem. The tech alos said they have installed the aftermarket parts, but had no idea if they fix it or if they are also just delaying the inevitable. I am hopeing that there is a local shop that can shed some light on this issue.

After warranty, you may want to check out Rising Sun. They are in the club.
