My search of the forum for shop manual info quicky turned up the Toyota subscription service. It looks like I may have time this weekend to remove the 3rd row seats. But I'd like to see what I'm getting into before I kill the LX570s resale value.

Are the subscription fee's worth it? More specifically will I find decent diagrams of things like the third row seat and how they are attached?

I'm not sure about the online subscription services but I think you can still get an electronic service manual from ebay and the such. Here is a link to a previous thread.

Thanks for the link, hadn't thought to ebay. There are some CDs offered. I may still go the official subscription route though. Sort of like the idea of instant access this week.

Look around on the forum. Somebody has alreay removed them.

Pagemaster, still waiting on details about your 3 day LC 100 series stranding. Ideally with links to news articles as some proof, as 16 year olds don't go missing and survive by eating squirrels for 3 days without at least making the local news.

Yes, it is absolutely worth every penny. Even if you don't work on you Cruiser you will know what the techs at the stealership are talking about. You can buy subscriptions ranging from a year to I think 3 days. Also the files can be saved to your hard drive so you only need to buy the subscription once and then burn the data onto a CD.

One more thing, TIS only works on Windows boxes and with internet explorer. For some this can be an issue.

Grrrrrrrrrrr, I knew that site existed and completely forgot about it. But it doesn't have any info on the 5.7 engine.

I ended up trying out the 2 day subscription. It worked easy enough. The free manual link is great, but seems to be missing LX570 specific stuff like the electric rear seat mechanism. Seats came out easily. Manual ended up being useful to know where the trim piece clips were.

Now I just need to decide how to deal with the spots in the trim/carpet/padding where the seat brackets had mounted to the body.
