Hello to all, so I'm new to this forum and through much research on here and other forums I decided to ditch my new F150 and switch to a 2008 gx. Prior to the Ford I had a Tacoma which I had lifted and enjoyed occasional off road adventures. So I'm looking to lift the front and trick the rear air bags, only want to fit 275/70 17 BFGs.
Question is though I tow a boat almost every weekend in the summer and was unsure if the tricked airbags would cause issue. I was thinking bilstein 5100s with eibach coils and leaving the rear as is because the original shocks are still good.

no problems. We've been on the tricked air bags for nearly two years and I tow my trailer with 1000's of lbs of steel material all the time.

That's good to hear. I've been holding off on lifting until I got more info on this. They just look right with larger A/Ts on them but I didn't want to do anything that would jeopardize my weekend boating in the warmer months. I enjoy the occasional trip off the pavement and was in the market for a 4runner but once I saw a few lifted GXs on the webs I knew the route I had to go. And your rig is outstanding btw.
