Bought a Topdon AtriBattery101 tester this paste weekend. Seemed to have decent reviews on line and I wanted something more than my multi meter. Seems to work pretty well and provides some good info. I'm not sure how accurate it is though other than voltage which at least matches my multi meter. Here are some pics of the tests it runs.
Anyone know what "Heathly: 89%" actually means? I believe this SOH (State of Health) which isn't really a specific physical parameter. From my limited knowledge of utility scale battery storage systems, SOH is a calculated parameter specific to the supplier of the BMS (battery management system). So Topdon would have some algorithm based on the battery type selected but they made the device for use on any battery so I don't see how the absolute value reported can mean a whole lot. The batter I was testing is a brand new Odessey 24F after I put the trickle charger on it for 24 hours. The battery was a charge is it possibly could be. It is also very possible, and even likely, that my brand new battery isn't 100% "healthy" as it was manufactured some months ago and fully charged.
