Hey all, I just bought an FJ Cruiser last night (my first new car!) and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a regular in the 40 forum, I've got a 67' FJ40.....what a difference 40 years makes on these trucks eh! Anyhow, looks like I'll have to poke around here now too! I'm not sure what I want to do it. I'm thinking a slight lift and more aggressive tires, but I am commuting with it, so I want to keep it practical.

Thanks!

SWEET!! Congrats...you'll love the FJC.

I still have my stock tires, and wheel the fool out of it in dry weather. Gets dangerous in the wet with stockers. But the daily ride quality you cant beat. BFG's are goin on it when the stockers are done.

So what are your specs, whad'ya get?

Welcome and congrats on your purchase .

I did it the other way around. I got the FJ Cruiser and then I got my 40. Remember, you only have enough money to mod one vehicle at a time. ;)

Congrats!!! Now you and I can both try to figure out what Toyota had in mind with those Non-FJ40 grey plastic boxes on both front corners of the front bumper?????

It's hard to say what I'll do with it at first. Maybe a small OME lift, more aggressive tires. I really like the way it drives now and it is my DD, so I want to keep it comfy for the drives around town. My first plan of attack is installing an iPod adapter.

As far as specs go, it has pretty all the options, no sub (sound seems kind of weak). I have the rear locking diff, A-Trac, Parking sensor, power windows/lock/keyless. I guess it's option 1 or something. I really like the V6, nice power. I bought the AT transmission, just because I'm kind of tired driving a manual when in heavy traffic (plus it gets better MPG).

They're never really practical.. haha. I commuted with my 40 for years. My bones are loving me now with this new FJ. It's been a great investment. Good to have you aboard the new FJ bandwagon :D

You can plug your iPod directly into the AUX on your FJammer......

:D

I really want one of those adapters that utilizes the iPod's dock port so I can see the track name and control the unit on the stereo. I can also charge it while I'm driving too which is nice.

congrats, just leave it stock until the tires wear out and then you'll have a better idea of what you want by then.
