It was tame to say the least. we headed up with the hope the trail head gate would be open, but it was locked up so we found what we could to test the suspension. i should have gotten some better angles. oh well i am learning.

To answer the other question it has the Revtek 3" lift and Hanook 285-70-17's if i remember correctly.

This is the best picture i think we took

Which isn't saying much. seemed much more impressive in person.

I was just going to ask if anyone knew anything about Hankook tires and voila...here are some now! My local tire shop had a set, but didn't now much about 'em yet. They look real aggressive though. Even the sidewall. How'd they work off road, and how much noise is there on road? Keep us posted!

www.hankooktireusa.com the tire is the RT03

that is correct. and suprisingly these tires are not that loud at all.
iliked the aggressive look on the sidewall myself . i havent tried them out on the rocks yet but do well in mud.

Took one for a drive yesterday... I REALLY liked it! :beer:

the black is nice , but it is hard to maintain

My 03 Xterra was black. Never do that again.
If I ever buy an FJC (come on diesel!) I would really like the green that my 1975 and 76 FJ40's are covered with.
Or the dark mustard.

We took one out today too.

I was lucky and hooked up with the FJ Cruiser trail team this weekend. That is one of the 2 Central Team trucks that they are taking to events all over the country. They drive stock vehicles with a front ARB and winch. It has no lift and stock A/T tyres (TRD wheel/tyre option.) They have 3 trucks in the Eastern Team, 2 in the Central team, and 3 FJs in the Western Team.

They let everyone drive and I got to spend over an hour driving both FJ Cruisers on some great off-road trails. We had a 2-day event with a big crowd on Saturday so seat time was at a premium but they let everyone that wanted to drive do an obstacle. We had a smaller group on Sunday so I could drive it as much as I wanted to.

:bounce2::bounce2::bounce2::bounce2:

I STRONGLY encourage everyone to take advantage of the FJ Cruiser trail teams as they come to your area. Check the schedule on their home page and let someone know if you want them to attend one of your local club events.
