Tire: Goodyear Wrangler with Silent Armor

Tire Size: LT245/75/17R stock size

Price: $174 each, $699 set of 4, $828 after labor and road hazard

Other specs: Load range E, 10 ply construction(6 tread-4 sidewall), heavy duty tire requires 52psi front and 50psi rear for my particular truck.

How many miles driven: 23,000+

How long : 23 months and counting

Appearance: Good. Tread pattern catches attention. People often ask about them.

Tread life: Very Good. Comes with 50K treadwear warranty. I usually rotate every 6K miles for personal good measure. No issues

Road Noise: Very quiet, close to stock tires.

Street performance: Excellent. Handles extremely well, very responsive. High psi rating helps MPG. I had at least a 2-4MPG increase in town, 6MPG highway.

Rain: Excellent. Never hydroplaned where others in traffic would have issues. Acted the same as when dry except for some spin when the accelerator was punched. ;)

Trail: Awesome! Aired down to 20psi, had plenty of grip on slick rocks in Moab, trudges through loose shale very well, floats in sand extremely well, ability to climb higher loose gravel inclines than BFG ATs. The carcass is bulletproof! Even having trailed in rocky slopes, sharp loose shale, slickrock, jagged rocky trails, there is absolutely no chunking or cuts.

Mud: Great. Good traction in the really wet stuff and cleans well with the sticky stuff. Way better than the BFG ATs in this category by far.

Snow: Awesome. Deep snow it trudges through like nothing, cleans well, packed snow and ice is like having studs. Even with an open rear diff, slippage is minimal, hardly ever use 4WD unless its at an intersection on an incline. 4WD it grips extremely well. I personally chose to air down for winter to 38psi front, 35psi rear.

Cons: They do pick up a lot of pebbles from gravel roads, but that’s the only down fall

I would recommend this tire to anyone looking for a great AT or a great all around truck tire. Excellent on the roads, great off road. Withe the dozens of trailing runs I have done, there is no chunking whatsoever.

Overall, I give this tire a 9.9 out of a perfect 10. I WILL buy this tire again.
