Hey hope everyones new year is going well so far.. I was wondering if any of you might have a connection with any local tire shop or corporate tire shop. I am in need for some new tires for my truck.....

If you all might have a connection please shoot me an email or call 765-714-0269.... My email is as follows: Fordmandan150@yahoo.com

Thanks!

Daniel

Price tires online. Last time I bought tires I printed up a "buy it now" listing on eBay and had Discount Tire match the price. I will also tell you that tires are not really any cheaper with a "corporate tire" arrangement, there is not a huge margin on tires. I have access to purchase tires from Transamerican Wholesale at nearly the same cost as 4wheel parts but you will find online prices the same or lower.

Thanks Ben, I appreciate the insight..... It looks as if I might be contacting a local shop tomorrow off of San Pedro. How was your Christmas/New Years? Amy told me to tell you she says Hi! Thanks for the tip.... I have been searching for some good rates online, but have yet to really find any. I am looking for my tacoma which has 285/70/17... Anyways, Ill post up here tomorrow after I speak to the gentlemen at Espino Tire..

Discount will match Ebay prices? Im going that route for my next set. Ebay is consistently $40-$50 cheaper a tire than what Discount has been willing to quote on the Cooper STTs I want.

Along the lines of the original question - can anyone recommend a shop they have used to install tires purchased from other sources. I should be receiving my 285s mt's from Treadwright any day now that I will be mounting on a set of Tundra 16x7 steelies. My understanding is that Discount Tire and the major chain shops won't do the install because 285/75/16 are at the extreme of spec (or slightly outside spec) for 16x7. In fact, some tire places (Costco in particular) won't install anything other than the stock size tire period. In a perfect world, I would have a shop on the NW side of town that I could go to for this kind of install and follow up small jobs such as swapping out the tire on a spare, etc. Ideally it would be in the I-10 area b/w 1604 and 410, but I am open to any places you guys have had good experiences with. Thanks.

If it's a mounting issue, there are tons of yellow building tire shops and it helps to speak Spanish. Then I would recommend that you have a major chain do the balance.

Thanks.
