pickens, sc
pickes me up a tie rod kit from ccot. Only 69.99 plus shipping. Can't beat that with a stick

Yeah, I heard some horror stories, but the bulk majority of my 40's parts came from there and they seem to be fine. They even send a little "gift" with your purchase. I always get some kind of FJ40 poster, and a free part or so. It doesn't help i'm sure that I have spent a small fortune with them restoring the 40, but hey their parts have worked for me, and some are even reasonably priced. Give 'em a try, they might surprise you...

Tuesday I had already ordered a kit from Cruiser Outfitters before I saw this thread, as I get most of my stuff from Kurt fore 108.5 plus shipping-around 120 to the door. CO sells the 555 brand. UPS ground is expected to arrive to NE GA from Colorado, Monday. 6 days over the weekend delivery but Kurt shipped on the day I ordered.

I saw this thread and ordered a set from Cool Cruisers, not knowing what brand they sold, I was willing to take a chance (I need a set for my DD and for a 60 I am restoring/working on) I placed my order on Tuesday with CC, they did not ship until Wednesday, I got them today Friday. They are the 555 brand and even came with an extra set of rubber boots. Shipped Fedex ground from Texas to NE GA.

Shipped later got here earlier, 35$ savings.......I am pleased with my order and experience with Cool Cruisers.

I am currently at the beach doing the family thing. The kit came via fed ex today. I had it shipped to my parents house while i wasn away. Took around 7 days but that's fine by me. I have not seen them yet though. Will be tommorow before i come back up to the house

ok so in the next couple of weeknds i plan on tackling the new tie rod ends. Do i need a specialty tool such as a puller??

If you can wait until Aug. 21, come out to the HAMOM. We'll help you out.
