Hey all, we're missing the meeting this Saturday because we had a camping trip on the calendar.

Anyway, I bought a used Thule roof rack with gutter mounts for the trip and my dumb ass just assumed the bars were long enough. Well, 50" bars just barely reach, but are not secure. Anyone have some longer Thule bars they'd sell, lend or trade? Help this procrastinator!

How long do they need to be ? My old bars stuck out from the roof on both sides, you can probably see them in my Moby Dick build thread, first page. Right now there up in my garage, i'm sure I can be persuaded to part with them.

I have Yak gutter mounts with bars. Bars are long enough for bike gutters, but not long enough for two canoes (72" to 75"). I planned gauge my Yak bars and buy closest size pipe cut to fit the need. I think this would be cheaper that going with official Yak long bars. Just a though.

Half k, you have a message.

ASI, I'm looking for the rectangle Thule bars to match the gutter mounts I just got.

Thanks again, Malcomb! Loaded up nicely.
