One of my friends has a couple of extra 2wd vehicles he wants to get rid of as soon as possible.
One 1988 3/4 ton Chevy pickup w 350
One 1988 1/2 ton chevy pick up w 350 and a rebuilt tranny.
One 1993 3/4 Ton Chevy pick up w 454
One 87 Pontiac Firebird with factory rims
He wants $500.00 for each of them.
They are located in Woodlake, Ca.
For reference, Woodlake is 10 miles east of Visalia, CA. Visalia, CA is 30 miles south of Fresno, CA on Hwy 99.
They all have chevy V-8 engines and most are the throttle body injection. He thinks the engines are bad in the trucks. (The last time he thought this he just had a blown head gasket). One of the 3/4 tons has a big block, I assume 454.
The 87 firebird runs but the interior is a mess. It has 8 spark plug but I don't know if it is a 302 or a 350.
They are currently registered as Non Op in the CA DMV. He is going to sell them as parts vehicles. He is not going to smog them nor is he going to bring the registration current and he is not going to part them out one piece at a time. He can get this from the auto recycling yard but he though he would let me post them on MUD first.
I am thinking that you could buy the vehicles and take the injection system and the wiring harness for the TBI and any other parts for a V-8 conversion into you 4x4.
If you decide to buy one, bring you trailer. I can meet you there and we can use the winch in my 40 or my 60 and winch them on your trailer.
