Hi All,

Figured this section might provide me with some valuable feedback on a trailer I may be interested in. Found it on Exp. Portal, don't think the seller is a member here hence my cross-pollination for comments :)
I've been looking to get a camp trailer since I got the Cruiser a while ago, a rooftop tent is nice and cozy but getting it on and off the roof is a PITA. So for longer trips, I like the idea of a camper. I won't be doing any major off-road stuff, the occasional fire road, gravel, etc. but a sturdy Cruiser deserves a sturdy trailer so I've been looking here and on Expo for suitable candidates (i.e. <$5k).
Anyway, short story long, here's a pic:

And here's the FS post:
Off Road Camp Trailer - Expedition Portal Forum

Seler is willing to take about $3k off asking since I won't be needing the tent, fridge and heater. Thoughts/comments? Anybody in the area willing to check it out, I'll buy you a  next time I'm in CO...

So, you're thinking of a camping trailer for when you need to camp,

and this trailer will do what? Yr driving an 80, dislike RTT's and I'm missing sumptin here.

Plus I dislike seeing Pelican boxes bolted to trailers.... ammo boxes, sure, but spendy plastic meant to be toted?

Sorry, I might not have been clear on some things. I have an EeziAwn 1600 RTT which I currently use on camping trips. When we come back we take the tent off and put it in storage until the next time we go out. It's a lot of back and forth between tent on/tent off and so I'm looking for a trailer to fit it on (and store the rest of my camping gear) so I can hook it on and be on my way.
Good point on the Pelican boxes, I can always replace those down the line though.

Ah, got it: save money by mounting yr own RTT onto this trailer.

Thanks for the clarification.

If you do buy it, might be able to have the Peli's plastic welded to fill in the holes and use them for portable storage.

The biggest up side of any trailer is it allows you to hook and go. During the warmer months we keep our Pop-up stocked and ready to roll. All we usually need to do is load whatever dishes* and clothing we kept out from the last trip plus some food&water and we are ready.

The trailer in question looks pretty nice but will the tent be any more convenient?

*The last day camping rule: Any dishes, pots, or pans dirtied on the last day camping get washed at home. :grinpimp:
