Meanwhile, over in Meridian, the mad scientist @maxbob002 has torn into the donor 62 Series 4.11 chunk for an ARB install for the rear.

No pressure now, ha. Got everything cleaned today and painted the housing.

Started a thread to document the build.

Rain for a few days is going to drive @nvrlose54 into the shop. He’s been nibbling around the edge of the list but says he’s about to eat soon

In other news, @wdukes made me this cool banner for my shop of Patina and The Warthog

Rear case half installed and Tcase buttoned up. I did not stake the output nuts in case Nolen and Cam decide to drill another bolt pattern into these flanges.

Damn that's beautiful

Hello there!! I have really enjoyed following this build especially the sniper EFI conversion. My question to you is which model sniper 2 barrel is it?? I just recently was given my Dad’s ‘69 fj40 which he bought brand new and would definitely like to give it an upgrade. Ran the Howell fuel injection on my fj45 years ago and can honestly say it sucked...hahaha. Purely a diesel guy these days with all my other cruisers.... the mighty 12ht!! Would like to leave the ‘69 alone and somewhat original with some improvements like ditching that carb! Thanks for your time,
Ryan

Holley 2300 and all the goodies to make it mount to the Cruiser via these guys.

So here is what we started with

These iron man shocks are ridiculously huge and very heavy.

I had a time getting the arm of the box but after some persuasion he quickly had a change of heart.

This is what I’m going for. This should keep the steering shaft in a near staight position and keep the warthog turning with ease

Do you plan to make the bump stop on the frame hit before the shock bottoms out or are you relying on the shocks included bump?

The bumps on these Iron Man Pros do the job. If I was to need more I’d likely add some Timben

What’s your thoughts on the single shear lower bolt and flat plate upper mount on hard hits?

I get it. I will just have to see. I have fond memories of the single sheer debates on Pirate 4x4 of Past. Hopefully I’ll be good. It’s heavy. Will see.
