That is likely all of that crap I have to deal with on this project.

Great afternoon here.

Got my wheels and tires. Thanks @wct49 at 49Tire for swapping these 9 year old BFGs over to the stock wheels. They are Pig Perfect.

Also thanks to @G-Cat for the beat up hubcaps.

This is a game of patience for sure and I've found myself undoing many things that I get in a hurry and do.

Today as I swapped a wheel I worked a bit in each corner as I did each tire.

The rear brakes looked terrible but after I cleaned and oiled it all it looks pretty good on both sides.

Rubber is good. No leaks. Im calling the rear axle good.

Pulled the shocks and both are in great shape. Put em back on.

I did replace the front shocks. Painted the area around them. Cleaned the front brakes.

I'll do a nasty ass knuckle job this summer when I'm bored. I Georgled us at Trail Thamer kit from @orangefj45

The rear Ubolts were 3" too long so I cut them off. It took 6 sawzall blades.

6.

Do sawzall blades suck these days? Why would it take so many?

Why would it take so many?
I use the same blade and run them as slow as the saw will adjust down to on the speed adjustment. On my saw this is still reasonably fast but not shooting sparks off the blade fast.
I also brush CASTROL MOLY-DEE CUTTING FLUID 16OZ PN 98-890-7 on the cutting edge of the blade before each cut, they seem to last quite awhile.

I quit using sawzalls for anything but wood. Straight to cutoff wheel.

I find good use for both cutting appendages... Georgled. Priceless:cheers:

I pulled out my rear heater to sell it. Part of this project it to try to bring it home cheap and the only way to do that is to feed itself via parts sales and other sales of cruiser junk.

When I took it and the factory AC out I was left with gaping holes in the firewall. When I put my rear heat delete hose (1/2" v 5/16" like the rest of the hoses for some reason) I looped it through the engine and plugged the holes with some leftover rubber plugs.

Worked great. Hopefully I won't have an air problem bleeding the system.

I tried to order some at $15 a can from JT Outfit but it never came in. Supposedly the color you want.

Looking at this pic of a pig that was my original color and the color my Pig will (very roughly) be painted, it looks like grill and lights and vent and wheels gray and bumpers are pewter
