Nice job on the paint. Two of the best looking 55s at the Pp18 were also rattle canned. @Voodoocruisers

Box Needed a signature Wednesday.

Normal driver would have just signed my name and left it

Temp driver took it back.

Last scan was Thursday and no delivery today and no one to try to find it in the warehouse until Tuesday.

3 day weekend to work on the pig and I got no parts.

Guess I’ll go buy some more Rustoleum

Ok. I stopped crying and started messing with the Warthog.

Got the white white repainted to canvas white in the back andbetween the doors.

All this is to match the hoods Cygnus white.

I started in on a CLR scrub on the hood. I’ll spot treat the exposed rust with boiled linseed oil after the scrub keeping it off the paint.

I tried rubbing compound and it would not budge the stains but CLR and a scotchbrite is taking it right down to the 41 year old paint

Boiled linseed oil.

All my trucks that have exposed rust have it on them.

I don’t like it on the paint. I try to wipe it on the rust areas. Leave a film on that part to “protect” it and then I wipe it off the paint. It gathers dirt pretty bad obviously.

My 45 was where I discovered it. The paint is so old it does good on the whole vehicle. I then put it on my Patina 40 and I loved it there too.

Repeat as needed.

This is my 45 transformation. The CLR Scotchbrite treatment before is key though. Gets all the s*** off everything.

Finally got to read this thread. Awesome.

It’s a total pile of s*** but it’s my total pile of s***. Thanks for reading.

More waiting and idle time.

Busted out the orbital and some rubbing compound and pulled out all the 1973 Muleta Red that’s left in the doors to match the Rustoleum gloss merlot I coated the rest of the truck with.

It’s hard to tell but it matches damn good and there is just enough in the doors to see it good.

I would love to have been in the guys brain that took a wire wheel to these doors just to understand why.

Once it is running again I’m going to pull the roof rack and bomb the roof. I’ll be down to 2.5 colors then.

Day 8 of ARB box of goodies from @cruiseroutfit lost by UPS. Not sure how many days this will take. I spent 3 hours down there Tuesday with some real good people looking for the missing 107 pound box. Bryce started an investigation late Tuesday so 48 hours later it’s still being looked for.

So.......I rigged up a pulley and was able to get my ARB rack off. That was interesting to say the least.

It’s going down. I’ll be down to mostly two colors soon.

looks good! Making me want to just hurry up and rattle can my 55 back to it's original color.

Did you have to get any special mounts for the arb rack? I think you mentioned its a 60 series rack. Measured the neighbors 60 series and it's a wee bit narrower than the 55.

Rattle can for the win :)

Yours may be too nice for that though.

The mounts are all the way out to the edge of the bracket for the Pig.

This one has served me well but it’s headed to a new home back on a local 60

My RTT needs a flat rack and I’m moving to 3 FrontRunner load bars to see if I like that. If not I’ll spring for the full rack as the mounts and bars will transfer
