Took the Goat to church then got busy sealing up the underside of the War Pig

When I did my Project Patina I had similar issues underneath with rusted out body channels and holes along the seams.

I found that sealing up the channels to keep mud and junk out is a good cheap fix. Messy, but after it all cures I trim it up and paint it black and it disappears

4 cans of this. Auto grade. Minimal expansion

I left it for a couple hours to expand and drip and make a mess while I burned leaves.

Plugged the A pillar holes up with this unit from CCOT

Straightened my drivers window frame. Now the window rolls all the way up

Also trimmed my fenders to match the cut rockers.

Putting it back together. Going by the glass shop I use to try to line up a good tech to get my windows installed.

Watch the glass guy be all like, "Uh, do you want to paint this thing before I put the glass back in?"

Went to get a Group 27 after work and it’s too long for this tray. The red top in my 45 fit it so I moved the too tall other battery I had into the Goat and stole the red top.

This took way too long. I’ll be returning the too long group 27.

(And I had the rod on backwards in pic)

Don't put yer rod in backwards!

I had always heard that once that stuff gets wet, the water never leaves...

The auto grade stuff is essentially plastic. It does not hold water. I watched the stuff in Patina pretty closely to make sure.

The 79 series snorkel is not exactly a direct fit but for this War Pig I put it on for the looks mainly. One day I’ll work on relocating the battery and making it functional. It should not be hard.

As of now the main thing I wanted was a good solid mount.

I settled on this. Turned out very solid and clean using some 1” flat stock and 8mm rivnut inserts

A million thanks to my friend Patrick for helping me put the windshield and side glass in the War Pig.

We were able to salvage the old chrome trim gaskets. It’s not super pretty on the inside but we did it.

By the 3rd piece we figured out fully greasing the string was the trick.

PO of my pig filled every nook and crannie with spray foam too. must be a thing.

Looks like a good rig though :)

Because the nooks and crannies are what killed all the pigs.

It’s a bunch of poorly designed Mud traps.
