Seems so weird seeing an antique tag on an 80!
Your wiper blade is parked on the cowl.
The answer to my own question is that this Petrol 80 Aux tank is setup just like a diesel. Instead of transferring fuel to the main tank, it simply switches suction to the aux tank.
Any chance this thing had the spare tire rattle bar that is mounted to the cross member just forward of the spare?
I always used the red as I thought it was better than the black.........but what do I know.
Applications are different.
00295-00103: Black: Oil pans, timing covers, water pumps/cooling system (though not necessarily called out in the specifications)-- engine-specific applications.
00295-01281: Red: Transaxles, differentials, transmission pans, transfer cases, etc.
What did you use to space the switch out beyond the recess? I needed to trim the ends of the switch handles so they would clear the recess on mine. It works, but I wasn't impressed with the appearance. Pic of mine:I like that the switches were likely designed around these stock Toyota rectangle plugs.

OK, gotcha.....I trimmed the holes for the switch housing to fit down in, so they would look recessed.....than found out the switches wouldn't click until I trimmed them.Man. Not sure what is different but this is the way mine went in. No trimming or anything. It was a tight fit.
