  • Jeep is the first automotive brand to establish presence on the geosocial network October 12, 2010 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The Jeep® brand today launched its profile on foursquare, the location-based social networking application making Jeep the first automotive brand to establish a presence. Jeep brand fans can follow the foursquare profile at http://foursquare.com/jeep. Foursquare Jeep brand followers will receive tips on their mobile device when they check-in at Jeep brand-identified locations. Tips will include information and facts about historical monuments, national parks, off-road venues, trails, lakes and outdoor locations. Currently, the brand offers more than 30 tips on the foursquare profile. "The Jeep brand and its community share a passion for travel and outdoor adventure; the Jeep foursquare profile will provide insight to the brand's favorite destinations and tips on what to do and where to go upon arrival," said Susan Thomson, Head of Media, Social Media and CRM, Chrysler Group LLC. "While at the Jeep foursquare profile, consumers also are able to share their tips and experiences for other Jeep brand consumers." Foursquare is the latest addition to the Jeep brand's existing geosocial efforts which includes TripCast byJeep® iPhone application which lets users track their trips and adventures and share them with friends via Facebook and Twitter. Foursquare is the leading location-based social networking application, and has over three million users worldwide.
