- BLACK
Regrettably I've decided to part with my pride and joy.
Given the rare (and most sought after) configuration, vehicle condition and mileage, I believe this is one of the best 3rd gens in existence today. I could write a book about this truck and my relationship with it, but I'll try to keep the ad short and to the point.
- Manual 5spd transmission, E-locker, 4-cyl 3RZ engine. This is the only combination that had the factory 4.56 gearing.
- 85K Original miles (136k KM). Mileage is verifiable through numerous service records since truck was new.
- No rust
- I'm the second owner (since 2014)
- ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING on the truck works 100%. Don't bother asking "does (fill in the blank) work?" - It does. Drives like a brand new vehicle.
- Zero mechanical issues of any kind. Ready to go on a Pan-American trip tomorrow.
- Burns ZERO oil, zero leaks.
- 100% original (black) paint
- Original scooped hood from the same color truck, so it wouldn’t have to be painted.
- 100% original glass in perfect condition
- 9/10 leather interior out of 1999 Limited. Never smoked in.
- Almost brand new Goodyear Duratracs (265/75/16) on powedercoated 1999 Limited rims (including spare). Original set of rims in excellent condition also included.
- Shrockworks front bumper with PIAA fog lights (wired to OEM fog light switch on stalk, through the original fuse box and using original (correct) color-coded wires).
- Warn M8000 winch. Has never been used. Bumper/winch were installed "just in case" in 2017 in preparation for a 8000-mile overlanding trip to Western/Southwestern US. The truck never saw any real off-roading except dirt/logging roads once in a while.
- Tons of preventative maintenance. Major items include: front+rear wheel bearings/seals/backing plates, Ball joints, brake lines, CV boots, rear shocks, all new rubber hoses, late model 3RZ tubular headers, spark plug wires/plugs. ALL 100% original Toyota parts. I despise aftermarket parts.
- Brand new Panasonic battery installed a few years ago (try finding one in North America)
- Highest end (back in the day) Eclipse DVD/Navigation head unit with 7" touch screen.
- Always used the best synthetic lubricants (Amsoil), Toyota red coolant.
-Llumar Formula one Pinnacle (ceramic) window tint (the very best available), installed by the top tinting shop in Toronto
- Weathertech floor liners. Original carpet mats also included in MINT condition.
- All original literature included - manuals, original sales agreement, dealership sales brochure. Also included lots of small service records since the truck was new.
The only downsides worth mentioning:
- A few small scratches/dents as you would expect on any 25 year old vehicle. Most/all of these could be touched up/buffed out.
- Some superficial/cosmetic rust in some areas on the undercarriage. These spots were touched up with POR-15. Truck was rust-proofed religiously, so there is a heavy coating of rust-proofing on the undercarriage.
Truck is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It's extremely easy to import it into US - a matter of filling out a couple of forms at the border, and paying 2.5% Duty on the declared value over $10K
I can help the buyer fill out/take care of paperwork.
As for shipping, here are the 3 best options:
-You fly into Toronto and drive the truck back.
-You can arrange your own shipping from Buffalo, NY. I can drive the truck over and hand it off to your shipping carrier.
-I can drive the truck to you personally anywhere in US/Canada and fly back. For additional fee, of course.
Price: $17K USD ABSOLUTELY FIRM.
