Mounted the light upside down, and on the "interior" of the bull bar.
Many washers were used in the mounting of this creation lol

ran the wires behind the grille and back over to where the battery was

Did you apply RTV or silicone to the ends of the lightbar and properly tighten all the allen screws on the front? Most of these chinese lightbars fail due to water intrusion.

mmm, also discovered today that neither of the rear doors lock when using the power lock system.
Found this thread:
Will likely be ordering these at some point:
I have the same issue with one rear door, thats a good find about how to fix it.

Recap of trip to windrock with @lumbee1 @jrmudder92 and @AndrewHadji

Weather was wet and cold, lots of rain had fallen, so a lot of the holes along the trails were deep and full of water.

We did not go on 1 trail because I did not have lockers :( have been thinking about getting TJM air lockers 🤔
The dirt in most of those holes was not very high in clay, so it was mostly just like water crossings when going through some of those holes.

Trying to run down the water ingress into the cabin 😠

There was some foggy weather, which made for nice and moody shots:
(pretty sure I am sterile now having took some pics of those towers lol)

ruminations:

debating if there are any more trips planned out here before the years end.

Considering pulling the 1fz-fe out, and doing the headgasket in my garage + cleaning up the engine bay.
Would likely consider a new engine hardness as well, or at least fixing up a good number of the connectors.
New distributor would be on tap as well, as the PO slathered this one with large amounts of RTV
I see that the firewall insulation did not fare well with all of the moisture at windrock.

If I had the motor out, I would likely pull the whole dash apart, and remove that unpainted strut, remove all of the rust, and then paint it.

but first things first will be getting a new windshield.

I have concluded that the cruiser would not fit in the garage without significant work.

I think the only event till next summer is the Christmas party. I don't think a lot of wheeling happens at that event.

but also you know, these "cheap" LS powered vehicles are on craigslist O_O
Its starting to be a common theme here on the forum. Im also doing it too.

yeah, im pretty torn about it.

I guess my deciding factor would be once I get the engine pulled, what condition the cylinder walls are in.

If they look good, I will just slap a new HG in, valve seals, and then send it.

If the cylinder walls are toast, it might be LS time.

little brother stopped by since he is in town for thanksgiving, we got halfway through the final steering knuckle / axle rebuild, after this, all will have been gone through.

If your gonna talk about it, you gotta show pics 😋

Got the steering knuckle back together, however, seems I might need to bleed the front left brake, it pulls quite hard to the right when the brakes are applied at 10 down to 0 MPH.

Also re-installed the airbag, and the airbag light is still on, so going to fiddle with the connector tomorrow (battery was disconnected now)
Looks like I will have to follow this:
