I didn't see the game either but it sounds like they looked good - congrats.

I'd say your game against UVA in 2 weeks would be an easy W but who knows WTF is going on with UMD beating Cal and Clemson and then gettings smacked by UVA over the weekend...

Turns out real jobs don't really pay that much, and they make you do mandatory trainings on the day of the most important game of the yr. I will be sitting in some LEAD training from 1-5 on that day. So there would be no point in driving down after that because I couldn't even get to WS before 8:30-9 at night. I swear I had more money in college and I could always skip class, its all donwhill from here. Go ahead and talk smack Andy.

If it makes you feel any better, you are not unlike most of your fellow alumni. I think I had 10-15 different Clemson grads yakking at me all spring, summer and early fall about this being the best Clemson squad under the Tammy regime and that they were "all in" for coming to W-S to see the game and the eventual W for the Tigers.

What's even sadder is that you guys are favored, could very well win this game, go on to win the division, the ACCCG and go to the Orange Bowl after the New Year.

If all of that transpires I don't want to hear anything else from you regarding Clemson since you had purportedly worked out job stuff way in advance.

Just the fact that you can't put whatever non-cruiser you're driving at the moment in neutral for the ride down the mountain to come see your beloved alma mater take the field says all anyone needs to know about you as Clemson's biggest super-fan...

Your right I could have, and then I would have had to miss a home game and piss off my fiance, or drive to Clemson and back in about a 36 hr period of time, glad to see you listened to the whole story. Last time I checked I have to keep her happy more then I care about Andy's weak trash talking. I've also made more home games then you this yr from 8 hrs away while you could damn near walk to the games so don't try to bust my balls man.

Actually, I just looked and we are favored by 2.5. I guessed at that last night and honestly, with the way we played in our last game, I'd be more comfortable if we were 7-10 point dogs. We always play better with a chip on our shoulder. I don't like that line and hope it moves in your favor before kickoff...

I stand corrected there. I thought you were back in your old stomping grounds in SW Virginia.

Next Thursday's game is do or die for Tommy, which means he'll do. It's how he's still here after 9 years.

This is pretty dead on, Carp and one of the reasons I am worried about Thursday night. He has followed this pattern almost every year and always wins the game when he absolutely has to.

That and the way we played against Navy have me wringing my hands big time for this one. If we play anything like that against the Tigers, it will be over long before half time.

BTW, thanks a bunch for the spare tire. I got it from my brother over the weekend and it is exactly what we needed. Congrats on the new addition to the family down there and thanks again!

Tommy might win a game or 3 when he really needs to but this yr he needs to win like 6 and that isn't gonna happen. His ass is good as gone I wish they'd just fire him cause I don't want his lame duck ass running the show for the rest of the yr.

48-52 I really don't care about the order. I just want a high scoring game with lots of action. A bench clearing fight would be icing on the cake.

I think Clemson will flop. The team may just give up so Tommy will go. I'm sure they can keep up the way they have been playing so far this season without him. If Tommy does get fired it's gonna put a dent in Clemsons ability to put a good team together next year. For being a school that is known for having a top notch football program Clemson sure has lost some credibility.

I love this club for many reasons, and this thread is one of the biggest, at least of what I can participate in from my armchair.
If Wake brings the team that played Navy, and Clemson brings the one that played the second half against Maryland, it'll be a snoozer. And the one that screws up least will win.
If Clemson learned something, and Wake did too, and there are 60 minutes of A game from both sides, this is going to be a good ball game.

But really guys: I had to laugh. The confirmed bachelor giving marriage advice.
