Yeah, it would have been nice to have Swank but he's gone next year anyway so for Popham to start getting snaps and game minutes now can only be a good thing. Plus, we'll likely need Swank down the stretch so having him 100% healthy is better than the alternative.

I guess the big question now (other than the price of gas) is how much of a possibility is it that you guys go from pre-season National Title talks (within your own circles of course :flipoff2:) to not making a bowl at all??? A couple more losses and that becomes a reality. Should add some extra fun to the season ending game against the Yardbirds and OBC...

I'm wondering what the bowl chances are right now myself, that blue turf doesn't sound to bad right now. I am not sure Tommy makes it through the weekend right now but only time will tell. Theres a lot of stuff on the message boards and blogs pointing to a lot of higher ups converging on Clemson today. As far as I'm concerned its bye Tommy hope the dorr hits you in the ass on the way out, thanks for squandering the most talented team in the ACC.

Damn sounds like I missed out on some funny stuff, JP told me you threw him down the stairs it was hard to understand him though his speech was pretty slurred from his high level of intoxication.

The highlight of the nights were seeing 2 separate incidents where irate Clemson fans got escorted by police out of our section. Every time we saw the cops walking up I thought they might be coming to get us. We beat on each other pretty hard. But they just walked past. You could easily tell who they were going to get as everyone would point to them. One girl got escorted down with a lady cop who had her arm behind he back jacking her up and she went down.

Yeah, I wonder how JP is feeling today. That's what happens when you get drunk and beat on me half the game. Expect to get thrown down the stands at least a couple times and have people point and laugh at you.:D Good times. All I heard the second half was "Marshall why did you throw me down the stairs twice? I'm bleeding. Why? Why, Marshall?"
lol

hows your temple feeling this morning Marshall :flipoff2:

thank god I was as inebriated as I was other wise those little spills might have really hurt :grinpimp:

and all I really have to say about last nights game is........... Good Bye Tammy

Ah yes, that's the one. Good find.

Genius I tell you, pure genius...

EDIT: I watched the Major Boobage episode a little while ago. Hilarious stuff.

"Dude, I'm cheesing my F-ing brains out right now."

not to worry Tiger fans

Tommy can still keep his job
by beating his biotch SOS come
late Nov.
That and starting the best QB
in the history of football so he
wins 'em all here on out and
goes 9and3.
Po ol Gamecocks start their yearly
swoon this Sat.
Look for the Cats to shut out the
po ol Lamecocks.

Andy: We meet later next month. Had planned to go to that game but now I'm scheduled to be on a delivery. Are you coming down for that one?

Hey Jim - I must have missed this. I am looking forward to our game down there in two weeks but won't make it down this time. I'll actually be on the UC club ride that weekend and need to figure out game watching. Marshall has promised to set up the dish and TV so that may work...

Good luck, hope all is well living the good life down there!

Glad you guys made it. At least no Wake fans called you white trash. :grinpimp:

Heck, even the guy beside our tailgate thought the worst of Marshall because he roots for the Heels...

EDITED TO ADD: My Wake flag that Marshall threw into 65MPH traffic wasn't the only casualty of the evening. Like a complete moran, I left my Weber grill beside our parking spot. Not on the Tri-Lams side but the other one. :bang:

Go Heels! I didn't get to even watch the game. I had a call from Monkey Boy who's battery had died up on the high bald at Cullowhee. Ended up driving on my 5 yr wedding anniversary to go extract him and his wife. Good times. Got to the top and was met with 50mph winds and rain. Was going to stay the night but weather was to bad we packed out and Iwas back home by midnight.

I do know it takes 3 hrs to get to the top of the high bald from my house. 124miles to be exact. Good times. It was good to be back in Whee.

You missed a good one, you should have stayed and watched the game JP would have still been waiting for you on Sunday morning, its not like he could have gone anywhere.

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Tommy Bowden, midway through his 10th season as the head coach of the Clemson University football team, has been fired.

Assistant head coach Dabo Swinney will take over the team for the remainder of the team's season.

The Tigers (3-3, 1-2 in the ACC) face Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Clemson, which was expected to contend for a conference title, has lost two straight games to ACC opponents.

The Tigers were ranked in the preseason Top 10, but opened with a 34-10 loss to Alabama.

The team rebounded with three straight wins, over the Citadel, N.C. State and South Carolina State.

But the Tigers lost 20-17 at home to Maryland on Sept. 27 and then fell 12-7 to Wake Forest on Thursday night.

Bowden had announced late last week that he was benching starting quarterback Cullen Harper in favor of highly touted red-shirt freshman Willy Korn.

Bowden concludes his tenure at Clemson with a 72-45 record and eight appearances in bowl games.

Last December, Bowden agreed to a contract extension that was to have kept him at Clemson through 2014.

Bowden had been pursued by Arkansas to take over the head coaching job there.

"I'm very appreciative and excited about the extension," Bowden said at a news conference at Clemson just after the extension was announced. "I fully intended when we came here nine years ago that we would make this our last stop."

Swinney began the season as the Tigers' receivers coach. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Swinney has been on Bowden's Clemson staff for six years.

Just got a call about it 20 min. ago and figured you guys were already talking about it. It's about time. I think the morale will start to improve and they might even turn the season around. I am sure that is what the boosters are hoping as well.

Jeremy

It would have happened eventually even if we would have beat you guys, but yes losing to 2 second rate teams in the ACC and starting 3-3 was definately the final straw.

Jeremy

LOL, second rate teams. You should ask those second rate teams about the weather in Tampa in early December.

Speaking of second rate, can you guys get credits for your tickets to Miami in January and apply them to Boise for the Truck Stop Classic????? :grinpimp:

You really want to bring up bowl history?

Let's see your entire history:

Dixie, Tangerine, Independence, Aloha, Seattle, Orange, Car Care.

Our history not even counting the toilet bowls:

Cotton 1
Orange 3
Gator 8
Sugar 1
Peach 5
Chik fil A 1

So yes, I think we know how the weather feels in Florida in Dec.
