The newly revealed Trailhunter trim level for the 2024 Tacoma arms overland enthusiasts with over 45 years of overlanding know-how via factory-installed ARB off-roading accessories. Protection, suspension and recovery upgrades from ARB are already hugely popular after-market upgrades for previous Tacoma Generations, thus the partnership between Toyota and ARB has been highly anticipated.

Suspension, a rear bumper, bed rack, sport bar and recovery points from ARB will outfit the already capable truck to deliver the quality that off-road use demands and the flexibility to accommodate different overlanding setups. Updated styling and purposeful details were a key focus for ARB in developing accessories to complement this specific vehicle and end-user.

Old Man Emu suspension systems are regarded as the gold standard among serious overlanders for their off-road performance and comfort. Toyota and ARB, however, went even beyond for Trailhunter by co-developing position-sensitive 2.5-inch forged monotube shocks with rear external piggyback-style remote reservoirs. The shocks are tuned specifically for overlanding use with a hard anodized, aluminum 6061 body for durability and heat dissipation. They gift the Trailhunter with an additional two inches of clearance in the front and one and a half inches in the rear.

When the dust clears, a stylish and capable rear bumper is an eye-catching feature rounding out the Trailhunter. Again, joining forces to engineer the 2.5mm steel bumper, ARB and Toyota included must-have off-road features: back-up and key fob sensor compatibility, two steel recovery points, two jack points, step pads, tow electrical connector, lighted license plate mount, provision for rear-facing auxiliary lights, and a durable powder coat finish.

The Trailhunter expands upon ARB’s dominance in suspension and protection with a bed rack and sport bar. The bed rack’s modular design makes it easy to secure all sorts of overlanding necessities. Molle panels may be mounted along either side and its crossbars feature ARB’s signature dovetail mounting system as well as t-channels. The full bed rack system holds up to 300lb and comes in light or heavy-duty options. Styled to match the bed rack, the sport bar is constructed from 2.5mm steel side posts to support loads and also features Molle panels for quick-access items.

Bringing adventurers the equipment they need to confidently explore lies at the heart of ARB. Collaborations with manufacturers such as Toyota not both push off-road innovation further and make overlanding more accessible to the masses.
