We're going to head to Great Smokey Mountain National Park and camp during Thanksgiving; I don't really need to sit around the house and watch football...

There have been a few friends who are interested in coming along but no firm commitments yet. Anybody here is welcome to join.

I'm pretty sure we'll set up in the Smokemont section:

I think I'll get off from work on Wednesday --- look for my Sahara & trailer and come join us. There are lots of interesting dirt roads to explore, elk, & hiking.

Wow, that's beautiful out there.

it'll be nice. Just after the fall colors are down, still a beautiful place.

Just was up there last weekend camping. I will probably eat a lot of food and watch a lot of tv. Have fun!

We were up there last weekend too --- in the Cataloochee Campground (by the elk).
The weather was amazing...

good to see you on mud. We met a few weeks ago up in the Chattahoochee Natl. Forest when I stopped in to admire your new trailer.

Nice video. We just did an over-nighter to NC, ended up w/ 7 around the campfire. Snowed in the upper elevations with cold and wind, it was 21* Sunday morning at 11 AM.

Dog; we would've gone...

It was a little bit last minute but I will definitely keep you in mind for the next one. The way we went up it would have been pretty tough to drag the trailer, if not impossible. With some more planning and time it could probably be accommodated though. I'll let you know the next time.

Thanks.
The idea is to drag the trailer in on the easy trail, hava cuppa tea, then go play....

I'm reagearing the Jeep tomorrow at PORC; hopefully it will tow better then.

Warm showers and shore power have won the day; Jellystone it is.
We've reserved spot #21; they have adjacent sites open. I've alerted Marta that there may be other folks with little trailers requesting sites near "Hilldweller" and she's ready.
We're arriving Wednesday after lunch and leaving Sunday. Happy Thanksgiving; hope somebody shows up... :REOutCampFire03:

Well, it was fun. 3 rigs at our camp, one at a nearby cabin. 5 days in the woods; can't beat it.

Nice pictures. Looks like you had a blast with the family. Those bears are to close for comfort. Hope they don't smell your food:D

Nah; sow with 3 cubs --- about 10 good miles from basecamp. We scared the poor girl too; I felt really bad. She and the cubs ran into some rhododendron to hide.
