In the past six months I've taken TLCA up their offer via email to submit technical questions. Done so for my '00 100 series (and my '07 FJ). The Hundy question was related to water pump woes and an unseen leak. I expected to wait months for my questions to get published if ever responded to at all.

The exact opposite happened.

Both times Roger and Robbie responded PERSONALLY and very quickly with thoughtful, insightful and very technical replies.

IMHO, these gentlemen are a tremendous credit to our hobby and the Toyota world.

Between TLCA and MUD, what else can I say but "wow" and thank you of course.

Absolutely correct on both of them.

(IMHO) What (I perceive) we need as a club though is more people submitting questions daily. Even if say, you already got the fix and can share it with them. This way the knowledge about different situations is available not just in online form (since there's stuff I know I have never posted up, like a rattle and dash light flicker that ended up being my aftermarket alarm system having been rattling around unmounted).

For example, I know a certain Ian C. that recently sent in a tech question to Gearz TV for Stacy to answer. Well, seeing as I know Ian had already solved the problem I laughed but in the end it was great that they put the info out there anyhow (although more heavily polished b/c of broadcast liabilities).

Why trudge through online boards full of 15 different versions of the situation and truth, or worse get your butt handed to you as people bandwagon bash on you? Send them the questions and share the wealth of knowledge we all possess. :steer:

That said I am still waiting for Robbie to ask me to share the pics and wiring trick to make the Electronic Cruise Control work after my 5 speed swap on my "Mini-Cruiser", aka 4Runner. ;)
