Here is the letter I received from Janis at OC:

Jim,

I enjoyed meeting with you on Saturday and I'm glad you could come down and see what we are doing in our Automotivation program. The guys are moving ahead with the Cobra build and have already painted what I think is called the rear differential so it doesn't rust. They have assigned duties to finish some of our other projects (the Bronco/WWII Weapons Carrier and the 1948 Chrysler) and move them out of the way so they can focus on the Cobra. They have the Cobra kit manual and are very excited about the build.

I appreciate all of you coming out to the ranch. It was a cold and rainy day, which was unfortunate. However we had a great time and I'm glad you did too. It was great seeing everyone again as well as meeting new folks. We had a great time. Next time you come the Bar-B-Q grill will be finished.

I'm sorry the Haven House closed, I'm not for sure what they did but I'm sure it did good things to help people.

We would love to have the support of the LSLC and TTR organizations and yes we have received your very generous checks and we sincerely appreciate the donations. I have sent the logos to Margo so she can put them on our website and we are honored to do so.

I love Landcruisers. My husband and I had a friend who had one and we used to take it out to Big Bend and we always had so much fun driving around the park on what seemed to be abandoned roads, although they weren't, we just happened to be the only ones on it!

Yes, I'd like to visit more about how both clubs can become more involved with what we are doing, perhaps in January. We're swamped with the Christmas holidays as I'm sure you are.

Jim, thanks again for your support and the support of the Houston Cobra Club and now the LSLC and TTR Clubs. The logos should be added by tomorrow. We're trying to get some of the pictures of the Cobra on our website.

Merry Christmas!

And the logos are up on the OC website and we even got a picture from the soldiers, who are already thinking outside the box, offroad style:

That's awesome and blasphemous all at the same time.

I received a Christmas Card and a separate letter of appreciation from Operation Comfort expressing their deepest gratitude. I'll bring them to the next meeting for everyone to read.
