This morning the importance of a functioning parking/EMERGENCY
brake was driven home.
Going down the driveway, headed to the highway, the brakes FAILED.
Zero....nada.....on the floor. No biggie, just used the parking/emergency brake.
Nice controlled stop from about 3 or 4 mph. Whew. Without that brake
I would have hit the highway with enough speed I probably couldn't
have made the turn. The fall off on the other side is about 10 feet.
Nursed it back to it's parking spot with the EMERGENCY brake.
Remember, the emergency brake was my Help a Member a Month
project. Worked like a charm.
I had blown the flex line from the front axle to the hard line.
There is a reason a working parking/emergency brake is required
for trail trucks.
I could have been toast today without one.
Glad I have that power bleeder.
Ordering the line tomorrow.

these trucks.
