Hi.. the girlfriend bought me a Bell HDPVR dual tuner for christmas. Cool product as it comes with 2 remotes thus you can run 2 tv's off it.
So we schedule an install and oh we find out this thing needs 2 coax cables run in from the dish, and then another coax from it back to where ever in the house you want a second tv.
Well suddenly this isn't working out so well with the house design and trying to fish coax cables down 2 levels.

What are my other options for running 2 tv's? I would like to go HD on both of them. A PVR would be nice as well.
Bell rents or sells receivers but wants a 2 year contract.
Star Choice doesn't rent and I need 2 separate boxes.
Telus isn't in my city yet.
Shaw needs 2 boxes and doesn't rent. Seems pricier as well.
Any other options?
Dish Network only available in the US..Suppose I could get a Montana address..:D no trying to keep it above board.
 on any opinions/options that I don't know about.

The first Bell Express View or BEV box you are talking about with the two TV's operates one HD and one SD(standard definition) TV, but both can use and access the PVR. This is a great idea until you realize how great HD is and how badly SD sucks, making you want two HD TV's so then you need another box. If you are looking for HD, BEV is better than the others in Canada. I'm at the point of having to buy another box but BEV hasn't had any sales on this Christmas, like they normally do. I'm guessing that they are planning a hardware upgrade but i have no proof of that. Check out High Def Forum - Your High Definition Community & High Definition Resource under Canadian Providers.

Hi Greg
thanks for the link... we kept the Bell dual tuner HDPVR plus... it has some nice features... It was half price back in credits.... so far it seems alright but what a pain in the a%$ to get installed and setup finally with choosing a package to go with... anyhow finally watching tv. The girlfriend likes the pvr feature for either tv so thats cool..
