Starting my FJ40 buildup and ended up going another direction with the thing than I anticipated. I'm replacing the entire existing powertrain with a Buick 3.8 / TH350 auto / Yota mini-truck t-case / Dana 44 HD / GM 14 bolt FF.

Everything that is now in there needs a good (or maybe an abusive) home. It is a 1974 model with a solid F engine with a crappy carb, 3-speed floor shift with a nice clutch, 3-speed transfer case, and stock axles that need a LOT of attention to the brakes. The rear brakes are nonexistent and the front brakes are out of adjustment. I believe they are 4.10 ratio and they have Warn lockouts. No irritating whining that I can tell but I have not gotten the thing up to highway speed for fear of my life.

If anyone has need of this stuff, let me know... everything is OBO so haggle away.

Hello fellow Abileneian! I will call a guy in town with a early 70's 40 and see if he wants/needs any drive train stuff. If you ever need a hand let me know!

Thanks for asking around for me, seems a shame to crate all these goodies when they can go to better use elsewhere.

I am meeting a guy in Ranger, TX this evening to buy an axle. Ranger is on I-20 at exit 349. If any folks of the D/FW persuasion would be interested in this engine and transmission, I will have it with me. PM me for details.

Thanks

Tony
