I was listining to the radio this morning and Bob Taylor from Taylor Guitars in El Cajon was on and is apparently a Landcruiser expedition guy. He did say however he keeps a loaded expedition landcruiser ready in Germany for long expedition rides each year to the sahara. Anybody in San diego ever meet up with him on the trail, seem like a regular guy from socal?

Never met the guy. Though, his guitars are arguably the best in the world. I own one. Toured his factory some years back. He had a loaded hummer at the time.

I know a little about him, but never ran across him on the trails. He is very civic minded. He funds and supplies materials for a guitar building shop class at one of the local high schools. It probably will be the only shop class alot of these kids will ever see. At the end of the corse the kids keep the hand built guitars they built. Then Taylor throws a big awards bash for the kids and families... He is a stand up guy.
