Speedweek is documenting two FJ Cruisers who tackle the New Zealand equivilant of the Baja 1000.

Teams:
Ryan Millen
Kevin Necessary

From Speedweek:

Two Roads to The Taupo 1000“Two Roads to The Taupo 1000” is the story of two off-road racers, on two very different paths, to one distant finish line. Ryan Millen is the 23-year-old son of New Zealand off-road racing legend Rod Millen. Kevin Necessary is a 36-year-old photographer and novice off-road racing enthusiast from Long Beach, CA. Both are prepping Toyota FJ Cruisers to compete halfway around the world in the longest, most brutal off-road race in the southern hemisphere. Get ready to buckle up and go behind the scenes to watch what it takes for one pro and one amateur to not only make it to the start of New Zealand’s Taupo 1000, but what it takes to make it to the checkered flag.

Sorry about posting on this thread, but I don't know how else to reach the
FJC crowd.

Great shows, both of them. It sure appears that Toyota is really putting in some ad dollars on Speed. 3 Shows in a row and they all featured Toyota - 1.BAJA, 2.Taupo, 3. 08 Landcruiser Test Drive. All good productions. That Millen sure can drive, all the other drivers were struggling and he looked like he was out for a sunday drive in a sedan.
I still want both an FJ and my 100 and for the money I can have both for the cost of the 200. Someday

Where can you buy these programs on DVD? I liked them so much I want to own them.

The FJC Trail Teams were handing out the 2 Roads to Baja DVDs last year, I'm sure this year it will be the Taupo video. Stay tuned for an update once the 2008 Trail Team tour begins...
