Anyone seen a newer taco morphed into a bronco style "suv". Removing the metal from the back of the cab and front of bed to create a easy access to the bed. Or merging the bed and body into one piece.

No! But that's why they make 4runners & cruisers. The body flexes (via rubber bushings/body mounts) independent of the bed (mounted directly to the frame), at least on all prior to '05.

So if it was a mall crawler only, it may work (not taking into consideration the excessive amount of fab & $$$$). But hit a bump or take it off road, and there'd be some pretty rippled sheet metal.

Now I have seen 4runners and cruisers morphed into bronco-like SUVs. Check out Mossyrocks runner on yotatech, or ultimate.

I remember seeing some pics of a taco-bronco a few years back. I could not find them on the net... but I remember the "pass through" from the cab to bed was the middle 1/3 flush with the floor (the two sides remained stock) and there was a bench seat in the bed.
