There is a dude along SR9 (on my way home), that has a bunch of tires for sale, Looks like a set of boggers and a set of swampers, maybe 35" or plus on the rims. I didnt stop so I dont know the specifics just what I saw. I can stop and talk to him if anyone is interested in them. Just looking out for you all even if I dont get to wheel anymore. Let me know and I can stop and ask. I have no clue if they will even be there tomorrow, so if you are interested let me know.

Jimmy is at my house getting some of his old car parts to go on eBay to fund his water engine problem! I think he may have had a water head problem to do what he did!

He's actually sitting beside me while I type and he wanted me to reply to this this thread. He's laughing. I guess it's to keep from crying. There went the money for his new tires! If they are REALLY cheap, let him know.

Clint/Jimmy,
Have you thought about putting a 2F in your 80? It should fit fairly easy. YOu could stay with the auto or go with the 4spd and lose the full time 4wd. YOu might get better MPG and better power, atleast without the auto. I hated the full time 4wd and auto in my 80. On my 80 at least all the mounts were present to mount a clutch master and peddle. just something to think about,

Rick,
I thought about the idea of a manual tranny in the 80. The 60 pedals will work and I have seen the start of this kind of project a few weeks back. But until I get an additionally vehicle as a daily driver, I can't start projects like this.

Jimmy,
I understand completely, I think I even saw a 2f block put under a 3f head at one point, it was in a 62, but the motor is the same in the early 80s (right?). You could keep you EFI and go with the 4spd. So what are your plans then? Just rebuild the motor you have now? I dont know if you have amachine shop picked out yet, but Quinlins, on the the south side, does really good work and Dan is a good guy that will work with you and keep in contact about things. Anyhow, good luck with it, it sucks having to wheel your DD, I used to do it.

Rick.
